Alfred Pek is an Australian-Indonesian Filmmaker and video Journalist. Having diverse life experiences personally and professionally in Indonesia, Australia, and Canada has given him direction to pursue storytelling that matters to broader social contexts and to inspire actions exploring human rights, pluralism, and the intersections of identities. Alfred holds a Bachelor of Media. He has worked for The QUO and Uni Junkee and is a multi-award-winning filmmaker for his feature documentary Freedom Street.
He is a cofounder of Suling Bamboo Productions. Suling Bamboo Productions is an independent film and media production company created by Melissa Green & Alfred Pek. We are an Independent Filmmakers based in Toronto, Canada, and Sydney, Australia and we are working on an upcoming feature documentary called "The Emerald Archipelago". |
